my guy is scared out of his mind that the door is gonna crush him because he is a door stopped and lives in fear of being squished ..
in this art project I wanted to create the feeling of a dead body, laying down only being able to see the feet, already tagged and in a morgue. Though death seems to scare many people I believe that even in death, their is a slight possibility of everything.
Obviously no one knows what happens after someone dies. There's many theories, heaven or hell, rebirth, or nothingness. I tried to explain that after death you leave your body, though your soul beings another adventure.
what death means to me
After you die, you're soul gets ready for another life. Maybe the next day. Or in 1000 years. I believe that your story continues..
What element(s) ; shape& Line
Why media ; The reason i choose yarn and a balloon is because I watched a video telling how to make the yarn lanterns. Yarn when in contact with glue mixed with water after a few days will stay in shape and eventually harden into a form in which it has been glued around. The balloon can be used as the shape that is wanted, after the process of drying is done, the balloon can carefully be popped and removed out of the yarn, leaving only the yarn in place. Though on my first try, I believe the yarn might have been too thick and heavy for the balloon and ended up getting ruined, or another possibility could've been that the balloon was not tied tight enough and ended up slowly deflating.
Why subject ; I thought it was a really interesting idea, very unique and one of a kind, and thought it could look really cool as a lamp shade.
In my opinion, when you doodle in class or at home, you're not creating art out of emotion, not putting all your feelings into a scrap piece of paper. Though it is art, it has no meaning, emotion wise. There's a large possibility the piece of paper isn't going on a frame on the wall rather than tucked away hidden forever..
